Public festival held over three days from 23 - 25 September, TMT presents Toi Kiri: World Indigenous Tattoo Culture Festival 2022; a gathering of indigenous practitioners of Tā Tatau, Tā Moko (Māori) and cultural arts exponents at Whareroa Marae and grounds, Mount Maunganui.

Over fifty Indigenous practitioners of Tā Tatau, Tā Moko, Skin Stitching, Hand Poke and specialist techniques of a range of indigenous artists from all over the world with other related cultural arts such as weaving, carving, adornment, clay and ceremony will live-in at Whareroa Marae and present in the Toi Kiri 2022 Festival.

WĀNANGA INDIGENOUS 8-15 APRIL 2019

Excited to be announcing my involvement with the Tattoo Extravaganza Tauranga and our facilitation of an add-on event specifically for indigenous tā tatau practitioners. The total event runs from 8th to 15th April at Whareroa Marae and Baypark Stadium. let me know if your keen to make bookings during this time - I’m really keen to work on some Māori mandala pieces!

24-25 NOV 2018 NEW PLYMOUTH TATTOO & ART FESTIVAL

This year Im taking bookings for the Tattoo and Art Festival TSB Stadium. Im looking forward to tattooing back in my home town with the fabulous Rosie Edwards of ECLECTIC MOKO. Hit me up early for bookings. I plan to be around a few days either side of the event as well if you’re keen for some ink - can’t wait!!

4-16 NOV 2018 PAPEETE TAHITI

I am lucky enough to be returning to Tahiti, Papeete this time, to attend the POLYNESIA TATAU Tattoo convention - 8th to the 11th of November 2018. 12-20 SEP 2018 TATAU I MOOREA

Joining our 30 strong delegation from Aoteaora .. counting down and getting prepared to tattoo at the most beautiful venue ever!! Bound for Moorea, Tahiti 11th to 22nd September and taking bookings! This is a good amount of time to work on some larger pieces and I will be feeling super chilled Im sure. Fill in a booking form if you are interesting. So looking forward to catching all my indigenous tatau friends!!

We are blessed in Aotearoa to have an arts funding body that helps support Artist and Art Audience Projects. Creative New Zealand has supported some of our artists on this journey and at various times in the past many of the participating artists have enjoyed CNZ support. This also holds significance because our indigenous art of tatau/moko is considered an art under their guidelines which is not the case for mainstream tattoo. A BIG THANK YOU 🙏 and may indigenous arts always have the utmost value in New Zealand society.

10-20 SEPTEMBER 2018 MOOREA TAHITI

On the 10th of September a contingent of 28 artists from Aotearoa will be joining Indigenous artists worldwide for TATAU I MOOREA: THE 1ST TRADITIONAL TATTOO FESTIVAL: MOOREA FRENCH POLYNESIA.

This inaugural event is worthy of a planned visit with over 150 artists from 20 plus indigenous nations. I AM TAKING BOOKINGS FOR THIS EVENT. PLEASE FILL IN A BOOKING INQUIRY.
